Amabae Mokenya

Elite spy slayer of West Africa, known as the Ninth Flame. Wields Super Strength: Gatetorn. Fell to their nemesis, Ifenye Yemtobai.

Born in 317 BCE at Zutoo, a marsh village in West Africa, Amabae Mokenya lived as a temple courier and spy until the war found him. The slayer mantle came in 291 BCE, at a crossroads shrine where he had gone to bargain and left carrying the mantle instead. Gatetorn let Amabae break stone, shields and skulls with bare hands. Across 15 years Amabae kept a 12-year uneasy truce among the local houses, a truce vampires still whisper about. Ifenye Yemtobai, the Weeping Envoy, ended Amabae's tenure in 276 BCE; the mantle passed on and the vampire walked away.
