Ana Popescu

Veteran soldier slayer of Carpathians, known as the Pale Shield. Trusted craft: Breach Drill. Destroyed their nemesis, Ioana Ionescu.

Born in 1501 CE at Drodroa, a market town in Carpathians, Ana Popescu lived as a garrison archer until the war found her. The slayer mantle came in 1522 CE, after surviving a bite that should have turned her. The mantle granted Ana no gift beyond an uncanny certainty, so Ana leaned on craft: Breach Drill, honed with a barbed hunting spear. Across 35 years Ana burned out 4 nests hidden in cellars, tombs and cisterns. The war with Ioana Ionescu, the Weeping Warlord, ended in 1540 CE, when the vampire was finally destroyed at Babureb. Anas El-Idrissi, the Crimson Bell, trained her in the mantle's craft.
