Anas Bennani

Frontline scientist slayer of Maghreb, known as the Ember Vow. Trusted craft: Anatomy of the Undead. Destroyed their nemesis, Salma Bennani.

Born in 1639 CE at Juhaalssa, a monastery in Maghreb, Anas Bennani lived as an alchemist until the war found him. The slayer mantle came in 1669 CE, the winter the wells froze red and he was the only one who understood why. The mantle granted Anas no gift beyond an uncanny certainty, so Anas leaned on craft: Anatomy of the Undead, honed with a bow with sun-glass arrowheads. Across 6 years Anas kept a 10-year uneasy truce among the local houses, a truce vampires still whisper about. The war with Salma Bennani, the Hungering Shadow, ended in 1675 CE, when the vampire was finally destroyed at Bamaalir. Anas learned the craft under Costin Barbu, the Salt Warden.
