Astfroa Halgunar

Veteran hunter slayer of Scandinavia, known as the Fallen Ward. Trusted craft: Scent-Reading. Destroyed their nemesis, Sigar Siggunfroild.

Born in 981 CE at Astgunsigar, a river port in Scandinavia, Astfroa Halgunar lived as a huntsman of the lord's wood until the war found her. The slayer mantle came in 1001 CE, the night a feeding party wiped out her household, when she survived and woke with the mantle burning in her palms. What Astfroa lacked in gifts was covered by Scent-Reading, and a ash-wood stake and iron mace that never left the belt. Across 39 years Astfroa hunted 9 vampire lords out of Scandinavia's cities. The war with Sigar Siggunfroild, the Gaunt Tide, ended in 1035 CE, when the vampire was finally destroyed at Halbjorulf. Astfroa learned the craft under Saima Razaur, the Winter Spear.
