Costin Marin

Seasoned charmer vampire of Carpathians, known as the Eternal Shadow. Wields Glamour: The Forgetting Smile. Outlived their nemesis, Carmen Toma.

Born in 1626 CE at Zalmius, a river port in Carpathians, Costin Marin lived as a traveling troubadour until being turned in 1669 CE. Bargaining with a coven for a child's life, Costin paid with his own. The maker was Ren Nakamura, the Cold Judge. Costin rose within The Pale Brood. The Forgetting Smile let Costin wrap a room in charm so complete that guards forgot what they had been guarding. Over the years Costin ran a network of 10 informants inside the local watch. Costin outlived the slayer Carmen Toma, the Burning Lance, who fell in 1732 CE. Costin was destroyed in 1901 CE at the hands of a rival house. Known weaknesses: salt lines and doorway wards, direct sunlight.
