Faid Nabfaur

Frontline spy slayer of Arabian Peninsula, known as the Ember Ward. Wields Aerokinesis: Gale Verdict. Feud with Khaibur Qadardaran never resolved.

Born in 574 CE at Tadarur, a fortified abbey in Arabian Peninsula, Faid Nabfaur lived as an ambassador's cipher clerk until the war found them. The slayer mantle came in 597 CE, when they recognized a neighbor as a vampire and could not stop their hands moving. Faid's Gale Verdict rode the wind itself, shrieking through fog and rooftops. Across 41 years Faid kept a 5-year uneasy truce among the local houses, a truce vampires still whisper about. The rivalry with Khaibur Qadardaran, the Weeping Widow, never reached a final reckoning; Faid died in 638 CE of a fever unrelated to the war.
