Ismail-Nubi

Carried resin north by river under merchant cover

Carried the last of the Pride's resin north by river under merchant cover, jar by jar, to feed the final years of his own mantle. In his last year, he did what no Maahes had done before: he carried word of a candidate from outside the valley, a man from the Sahel whom Salim-Aswan's envoys had found. The mantle chose him two years after Ismail-Nubi died.
