Born in 1966 CE at San Antonio, Texas, Loretta Proctor was a county investigator who trained her daughter in the family way. The slayer mantle came in 1988 CE, in a warehouse near the river, when a suspect's alibi turned out to be a century old. Loretta never manifested a power; the edge came from Ledger Recall and investigator's badge and a silver stake. She has worked San Antonio for thirty years and holds the White Ledger, and the family's respect for the Faulkners. She thinks the rivalry is the best part of the calling, and will not be drawn on the Guest. She is alive, semi-retired and still consults on cases.
