Mahath Jumaa

Veteran detective slayer of Maghreb, known as the Rising Lance. Wields Undead Sense: Grave Compass. Destroyed their nemesis, Keyair Babenth.

Born in 1169 CE at Mabaa, a stone keep in Maghreb, Mahath Jumaa lived as an inquisitor's clerk until the war found him. The slayer mantle came in 1201 CE, when his sister was taken and he walked into the vampires' hall alone and walked out. Mahath could pick a vampire out of a crowd by the cold spot it left, thanks to Grave Compass. Across 10 years Mahath hunted 11 vampire lords out of Maghreb's cities. The war with Keyair Babenth, the Sable Architect, ended in 1209 CE, when the vampire was finally destroyed at Juisa. Zuu Odamaodi, the Lantern Blade, trained him in the mantle's craft.
