Mai Vu

Veteran assassin slayer of Southeast Asia, known as the Restless Torch. Wields Undead Sense: Wrongness Sight. Fell to their nemesis, Quang Hoang.

Born in 1967 CE at Haanangg, a port city in Southeast Asia, Mai Vu lived as a retired intelligence wet-worker until the war found her. The slayer mantle came in 1987 CE, after surviving a bite that should have turned her. Wrongness Sight let Mai feel a vampire's wrongness from streets away. Across 8 years Mai ended a 2-year reign of terror in the hills around Namluba. Quang Hoang, the Ashen Sovereign, ended Mai's tenure in 1995 CE; the mantle passed on and the vampire walked away. Tupac Cusi, the Veiled Oath, trained her in the mantle's craft.
