Maria Torala

Legendary assassin slayer of Iberia, known as the Salt Hand. Wields Solar Radiance: Dawnburst. Destroyed their nemesis, Ormaria Caribia.

Born in 591 BCE at Batorsanino, a hill fort in Iberia, Maria Torala lived as a palace assassin until the war found him. The slayer mantle came in 560 BCE, the night a feeding party wiped out his household, when he survived and woke with the mantle burning in his palms. Dawnburst let Maria gather daylight into a blinding pulse that vampires felt as a physical blow. Across 13 years Maria trained 7 lesser hunters who carried the fight forward. The war with Ormaria Caribia, the Wretched Tyrant, ended in 550 BCE, when the vampire was finally destroyed at Rotiino.
