Mateo Ortiz

Seasoned charmer vampire of Iberia, known as the Wretched Collector. Wields Super Strength: Gatetorn. Feud with Mateo Navarro never resolved.

Born in 1339 CE at Alalino, a toll-bridge town in Iberia, Mateo Ortiz lived as a courtier until being turned in 1368 CE. Drowned in a river and pulled out by hands that were not entirely kind, Mateo woke different. The maker was Sono Sepverus, the Ivory Judge. Mateo rose within The Gilded Court. Mateo's Gatetorn could lift a wagon from a ditch or tear a door from its frame. Over the years Mateo ruled a night market in Vassanus for 9 decades. The feud with Mateo Navarro, the Last Warden, never reached a final reckoning. Mateo vanished in 1801 CE and has not been sighted since. Known weaknesses: hawthorn or ash-wood through the heart, silver-tipped weapons.
