Ming Xu

Legendary soldier slayer of Yellow River Basin, known as the Ivory Hound. Wields Geokinesis: Barrow Rising. Feud with Yan Liu never resolved.

Born in 1720 CE at Tangqin, a mill town in Yellow River Basin, Ming Xu lived as a career army officer until the war found him. The slayer mantle came in 1744 CE, during a siege, when he saw the enemy captain's shadow refuse to fall. Barrow Rising let Ming raise walls, spikes and sudden pits from the ground itself. Across 9 years Ming trained 10 lesser hunters who carried the fight forward. The rivalry with Yan Liu, the Whispering Collector, never reached a final reckoning; Ming died in 1753 CE when a hunt went wrong in the dark.
