Rin Watanabe

Frontline engineer slayer of Japan, known as the Sworn Spear. Trusted craft: Trap Architecture. Feud with Ren Fujimoto never resolved.

Born in 1931 CE at Mamama, a harbor district in Japan, Rin Watanabe lived as a railway engineer until the war found her. The slayer mantle came in 1963 CE, after she was left for dead in a burned granary and rose with the sun. The mantle granted Rin no gift beyond an uncanny certainty, so Rin leaned on craft: Trap Architecture, honed with a crossbow with sun-flare bolts. Across 34 years Rin broke 4 covens across Japan. The rivalry with Ren Fujimoto, the Cold Hunger, never reached a final reckoning; Rin died in 1997 CE of a fever unrelated to the war. Rin learned the craft under Yonas Tadesse, the Fallen Reaper.
