Selam Tadesse

Frontline vigilante slayer of Horn of Africa, known as the Crimson Lantern. Wields Foresight: Threadsight. Feud with Dawit Bekele never resolved.

Born in 1840 CE at Aherie, a old quarter in Horn of Africa, Selam Tadesse lived as a neighborhood guardian until the war found her. The slayer mantle came in 1873 CE, on the road home from a wedding, when she was the only guest still standing. Selam's Threadsight turned dreams into warnings hours before an attack. Across 5 years Selam trained 8 lesser hunters who carried the fight forward. The rivalry with Dawit Bekele, the Bloodless Vespers, never reached a final reckoning; Selam died in 1878 CE in an ambush set by a rival coven. Omar Hamdy, the Salt Thorn, trained her in the mantle's craft.
