Stavros Vlachos

Frontline hunter slayer of Aegean, known as the Pale Warden. Trusted craft: Scent-Reading. Died alongside their nemesis, Zennikon Demzenos.

Born in 1442 CE at Kakatheros, a market town in Aegean, Stavros Vlachos lived as a forest warden until the war found him. The slayer mantle came in 1465 CE, after he killed a vampire with nothing but a broken table leg, an act the elders called a sign. Stavros never manifested a power; the edge came from Scent-Reading and a salt-packed hunting horn kept within reach. Across 12 years Stavros hunted 3 vampire lords out of Aegean's cities. In 1477 CE Stavros and Zennikon Demzenos, the Sleepless Hunger, killed each other at Arikaes, and both legends stopped there. Haruto Ishikawa, the Hollow Lance, trained him in the mantle's craft.
