Tarus Kuwakua

Frontline stormer slayer of Anatolia, known as the Storm Oath. Trusted craft: Berserk Rush. Destroyed their nemesis, Zizias Shatuus.

Born in 139 CE at Pishalaili, a walled city-state in Anatolia, Tarus Kuwakua lived as a berserker of the line until the war found him. The slayer mantle came in 158 CE, the night a feeding party wiped out his household, when he survived and woke with the mantle burning in his palms. Tarus never manifested a power; the edge came from Berserk Rush and a reed-shafted hunting bow kept within reach. Across 28 years Tarus held 12 sunrise vigils over besieged towns. The war with Zizias Shatuus, the Crowned Herald, ended in 161 CE, when the vampire was finally destroyed at Lashayaus.
