Toby Sinclair

Veteran hunter slayer of Oceania, known as the Pale Blade. Trusted craft: Dawn Ambush. Destroyed their nemesis, Wainani Harulara.

Born in 1535 CE at Gallagherridge, a fortified abbey in Oceania, Toby Sinclair lived as a huntsman of the lord's wood until the war found him. The slayer mantle came in 1558 CE, after he killed a vampire with nothing but a broken table leg, an act the elders called a sign. What Toby lacked in gifts was covered by Dawn Ambush, and a crossbow with hawthorn bolts that never left the belt. Across 35 years Toby trained 8 lesser hunters who carried the fight forward. The war with Wainani Harulara, the Weeping Hunger, ended in 1590 CE, when the vampire was finally destroyed at Sinclairmere.
