Tuan Nguyen

Veteran engineer slayer of Southeast Asia, known as the Vigil Hound. Trusted craft: Mechanical Ward. Destroyed their nemesis, Frimamar Gungisgermar.

Born in 1333 CE at Koba, a walled town in Southeast Asia, Tuan Nguyen lived as a siege engineer until the war found him. The slayer mantle came in 1364 CE, when his sister was taken and he walked into the vampires' hall alone and walked out. The mantle granted Tuan no gift beyond an uncanny certainty, so Tuan leaned on craft: Mechanical Ward, honed with a bow with sun-glass arrowheads. Across 8 years Tuan ended a 11-year reign of terror in the hills around Kolug. The war with Frimamar Gungisgermar, the Crowned Sovereign, ended in 1372 CE, when the vampire was finally destroyed at Kolug. Irina Sokolov, the Lantern Flame, trained him in the mantle's craft.
