Tunde-Balogun

Rebuilt the Pride's coastal watch under growing colonial rule

Rebuilt the Pride's coastal watch while the European powers divided the continent between them. In 1885, when the map of Africa was drawn in a room in Europe, he began to teach the cells a new art: how to survive under a government that does not know you exist. In his last year he carried word of a candidate, a young man on the Gold Coast, who would take the mantle two years after Tunde-Balogun died and carry the Pride into the age of independence.
