Segmented Vambraces

A pair of articulated forearm guards built from overlapping metal segments, giving the wearer real confidence to block or parry an incoming strike with the forearm itself while the joints between segments preserve a full range of wrist motion.

Like any segmented armour, a strike landing precisely on a gap between plates can occasionally reach through where a solid guard would have stopped it outright.
