Long-Range Two-Way Radio

A rugged handheld radio, built around a stronger transmitter and a more sensitive receiver than a standard consumer unit, keeping two people or a small team in reliable two-way contact across open ground or through moderate obstruction.

Its range still depends heavily on terrain and structures in the way, and unlike an encrypted unit, anyone else scanning the same frequency can listen in on the conversation.
