Adaptive Camouflage Cloak

A cloak woven with light-reactive fibres that continuously sample the surrounding colour and pattern and shift to match it, letting the wearer blend into a wall, foliage, or shadow far more effectively than static camouflage ever could.

The adaptation takes a moment to catch up to a fast-changing background, and it does nothing to hide movement or sound, so standing still in the right spot matters more than the cloak alone.
