EMP Pulse Emitter

A handheld device that discharges a short-range electromagnetic pulse on activation, disabling unshielded electronics within its radius - cameras, alarms, powered locks - for long enough to slip past a security system that would otherwise flag the intrusion instantly.

Its pulse also knocks out the user's own unshielded electronics if they're caught in range, and any properly shielded equipment is unaffected entirely, so its use has to be planned around carefully.
