Flash-Bang Capsule

A small, thrown capsule that releases a brief but intense burst of light and sound on impact, momentarily overwhelming the senses of anyone nearby and leaving them disoriented for a few critical seconds.

Its effect is short-lived and works best as an opener rather than a lasting advantage, and anyone braced for it in advance - eyes shut, ears covered - is far less affected.
