Wrist-Mounted Data Scanner

A slim, wrist-worn scanner that reads nearby data signals and displays them on a small screen, letting the user quickly survey a security system's layout or pull information from a document or card without touching it directly.

Its scanning range is short and it can only read data actually being broadcast or displayed, so it is a tool for gathering information already present rather than for breaking into anything actively secured.
