Night Vision Binoculars

A pair of compact binoculars that amplify whatever ambient light is available, turning near-total darkness into a usable, if greenish, view clear enough to track a target or scout a route long after the sun has gone down.

They perform poorly in absolute darkness with no light source at all to amplify, and a sudden bright light can temporarily wash out and blind the display entirely.
