Grappling Equipment

A wrist- or belt-mounted launcher firing a magnetic or barbed grapple head on a thin, high-tensile synthetic line, paired with a small motorised spool for rapid retraction. Built for closing vertical distance fast - crossing between rooftops, reaching a fire escape, or hauling the user out of a ground-level pursuit - rather than for controlled rappelling over long descents.

Line length and the spool motor's pull strength are the two hard limits: it is a short-range traversal tool, not a substitute for climbing gear on a genuinely long descent or ascent.
