Arm-Mounted Crossbow

A crossbow mechanism rigidly mounted along the forearm rather than held separately, letting the wielder aim by simply pointing the arm and fire with a small trigger built into the palm or wrist. That hands-free design leaves the other hand completely free for a second weapon, a shield, or a grapple.

Its fixed mount limits how quickly it can be reloaded compared to a hand-held crossbow, so most versions carry only one or two ready bolts before needing to be manually reset.
