Battle Axe

A single-handed axe with a wide, curved cutting edge, its head weighted to carry real force into a chopping strike without needing a two-handed swing. It splits the difference between a lighter blade's speed and a heavier hammer's raw impact, giving a versatile middle ground for close-quarters fighting.

Its blade offers little defensive use against an incoming strike, so a battle axe wielder relies on footwork and timing to avoid a hit rather than blocking it outright.
