Bolas Set

A set of weighted balls connected by lengths of cord, thrown so the whole assembly spins and wraps around a target's legs or arms on impact, restricting movement almost instantly without any risk of serious injury. It is one of the few genuinely non-lethal ranged options available to most vigilantes, prized specifically for that reason.

Effective range and accuracy both drop off quickly with distance, and a bolas that misses its wrap is largely wasted, so it tends to be used at moderate range against a fleeing or otherwise vulnerable target rather than as a primary offensive weapon.
