Chain Whip

A weapon built from short, linked metal segments rather than a single rigid shaft, letting it flex and strike around a raised guard or partial cover in a way no straight weapon can manage. Its flexible length is equally suited to wrapping and immobilising an opponent's arm, weapon, or leg mid-strike.

That same flexibility makes it a demanding weapon to control - a chain whip requires far more training than a rigid weapon of similar reach to use safely and precisely, since a mistimed strike is as likely to wrap the wielder's own limb as an opponent's.
