Flash-Smoke Launcher

A compact, single- or dual-barrel launcher firing small canisters that, depending on which is loaded, either burst into a brief blinding flash or release a dense cloud of concealing smoke on impact. Both are used to create an opening rather than to harm - a moment of confusion to close distance, or cover to disengage and disappear.

Effectiveness depends heavily on space and airflow - a flash does little in bright daylight, and smoke disperses fast in open, windy terrain - so its use is planned around the environment rather than deployed indiscriminately.
