Machine Pistol

A compact sidearm capable of switching to a short automatic burst, giving it more sustained close-range firepower than a standard pistol while remaining small enough to conceal. Its accuracy drops off sharply at any real distance, and its light frame makes controlling recoil on a burst genuinely difficult without practice.

It represents a serious escalation like any firearm, and most operators who carry one treat it as a weapon of last resort reserved for a confrontation that has already turned lethal.
