Magnetic Slingshot

A modernised slingshot using a magnetic acceleration stage rather than raw elastic tension alone, launching small ferrous projectiles with far more force and consistency than a traditional design could manage. It is quiet, cheap to resupply in the field, and unassuming enough that most people never suspect it as a real weapon until it is used.

Individual projectiles carry limited stopping power against anything but an unprotected target, so it tends to be used for precise, disabling strikes - a hand, an eye, a exposed joint - rather than as a primary means of ending a confrontation outright.
