Rapier

A slender, light blade designed almost entirely around the thrust rather than the cut, rewarding footwork, distance control, and precise timing over raw strength. Its light weight allows for a speed of attack and recovery a heavier blade simply cannot match, making it a favourite of fighters who prefer to out-manoeuvre an opponent rather than overpower them.

Its slim profile offers little in the way of a blocking edge against a heavier weapon, so a rapier duelist relies on evasion and precise counters rather than direct blade-on-blade defence.
