Throwing Star Set

A set of flat, multi-pointed steel stars, each balanced so that however it leaves the hand, a point strikes first. Carried in a flat pouch or bandolier, they can be drawn and thrown in rapid succession, giving a wielder a fast way to distract, wound, or disable at range without reloading or drawing a bulkier weapon.

Individually they are rarely disabling - their value is in volume and surprise, peppering an approaching target or covering a retreat rather than serving as a primary means of ending a confrontation outright.
