Tonfa Pair

A matched pair of batons, each fitted with a perpendicular side handle that lets the wielder rotate the weapon between a forward-projecting strike and a forearm-length defensive guard without changing grip. That dual function makes them unusually well suited to a defensive fighting style built around blocking and redirecting incoming strikes before countering.

Mastering the rotation between guard and strike takes real practice, and a wielder who hasn't drilled it can end up fumbling the transition mid-exchange - it is a weapon that rewards dedicated training far more than improvisation.
