Vibro-Blade

A fixed blade fitted with a compact internal oscillator that vibrates the edge at a very high frequency, letting it part material with dramatically less applied force than an equivalent still blade - a light touch cuts what would otherwise take a full committed swing. The effect only lasts as long as its small internal cell holds charge.

Once the charge is spent it functions as an ordinary, if well-made, fixed blade, so most wielders reserve the active mode for a single critical cut rather than running the oscillator continuously through a whole confrontation.
